Ten years ago, "Gate" appeared and connected the real world with the world of magic and supernatural creatures. To counter these evil creatures, ordinary people received superhuman powers and became known as "Hunters." Song Jin-woo, 20 years old, is one of these Hunters, but is known as the "Weakest in the World" due to his insignificant power, which is even weaker than a rank E. However, he persistently hunts down low-ranking monsters at the Gate's entrance to pay for his mother's medical expenses. But this hopeless life changes when Jin-woo, who thinks he's the only survivor of a failed mission, wakes up in the hospital three days later and finds a mysterious log in front of him. This "Quest Log" asks Jin-woo to complete a difficult and unrealistic training program to avoid unfair punishment. At first, Jin-woo was reluctant due to the program's difficulty, but soon realizes that it may turn him into one of the most terrifying Hunters in the world.
